Main Event:

This will be a 1,250-point tournament. A main list at 1000 points with up to three 250-point sideboards. Using the official army books in Grimdark Future or Age of Fantasy. For the main army force, organization rules will be used, and narrative heroes are not allowed. Sideboards do not have to have force organization on, and cannot have narrative heroes. All armies are to use only one book for list building. Lists can be built for free at https://army-forge.onepagerules.com.

Winning the Tournament :

The winning player will be decided in the following way. Number of games won with tie breakers on Total number of Victory points. In the off chance there is a tie on games won and victory points, the points value of complete units destroyed will be used.

Army List Requirements:

  • Main Army
    • 1000 Points
    • One Official Army Book
    • Force Organization Turned on
    • Narrative heroes are not allowed
  • Side Board
    • Can make up to three 250-point boards
    • Uses the same army book as the main army
    • Force Organization can be turned off
    • Narrative heroes are not allowed

Sideboards

Sideboards are a group of units that a player brings to a game but does not include in their main list initially; instead, the sideboard provides flexibility. Before the deployment phase, both players decide and reveal one of the three sideboard lists they will be adding to their main army, bringing both player armies to 1250 points total. Deployment resumes and the game plays as normal. Some common sideboards are a unit or two of deadly, blast or spellcaster to help fill in a hole in your army.

Rules

Scoring

Opponents will be chosen randomly for all four matches using a Swiss pairing system. There will be two matches using the progressive scoring system and 2 using normal scoring.

Bring a pencil, notebook, multiple copies of your army list, and your miniatures. Dice, status markers, and tape measures will be on the table if needed.

If you call for a judge, their decision will be final.

Playing the Games

Game Length: 4 Turns with a max game timer of 60 minutes.

Win Condition: Most victory points by the end of round 4 wins.

Controlling Objectives

A player’s control score for an objective is the total combined toughness value of friendly models within 3” of the objective marker, minus any damage allocated. If the difference between two players’ control scores is greater than 3, the player with the higher control score gains control of the objective at the end of the turn.  If they are both within 3 wounds of each other, the objective is contested.

If there are models that are within 3” of multiple objectives, players alternate choosing which objective they will count towards, starting with the player who will activate next.

Once a player controls an objective, they continue to control it until another player controls it at the end of a round.

Miniatures:

One Page Rules is miniature-agnostic. So, if it is roughly the right size of base and height and can be easily distinguished from other models, it can be used. Painting and WYSIWYG are not required but encouraged.
